Annual Report & Accounts
We're proud to share our Annual Report and Accounts for the financial year ending 31 March 2026, a year of growth, new programmes, and continued dedication to the young people of Thame and the surrounding villages.
What we achieved this year
Despite operating with just one full-time paid youth worker and a brilliant team of volunteers, this has been one of our most active years yet. We supported over 800 visits to our activities, welcomed 65 new young people through our doors, and ran 21 holiday activities ranging from laser tag and DJ-ing to cooking and photography. We also launched several new initiatives: a weekly Maths Club for Years 7–11, Year 6 Transition sessions, and the NatWest Thrive programme for Young Carers at Lord Williams's School.
The finances
Our total running costs for the year were £40,105, with a net income of £5,970. We are grateful to Thame Town Council for their ongoing grant of £15,000, which goes directly towards funding our youth worker. The remainder of our income came from grants, fundraising events, Gift Aid, and the extraordinary generosity of local organisations and individuals, including Thame Rotary Club, Lucy Electrics, Invictus Fitness, Thame Runners, Connect Scaffolding, and many more.

The challenges
We want to be open with our community: demand for our services is growing, and we are working hard to keep up. Young people in Thame face real and complex challenges, from anxiety and mental health needs to SEND, family difficulties, and a lack of safe, free spaces to socialise. Our current model, relying on hired venues and a very small staff team, limits what we can offer. We sometimes have to cap attendance or cancel sessions, and that's not something we take lightly.
Looking ahead
Our two big priorities for the year ahead are strengthening our programme for young people and preparing for the building of the new community and youth centre. This will be a game-changer for what TYPG can offer.
