Thame Youth Projects Group (TYPG), are a Thame based Charity that provide support and activities for the young people of Thame and the surrounding area aged between 11 - 18 We provide weekly events with additional events during holiday periods. Our ethos is to provide all events free of charge to all. TYPG are a voluntary run organisation, with a full time Youth Worker as the single employee. Our Youth Worker, is the only such presence in Thame, planning and managing activities for our young people. In addition they provide free support to Lord Williams School on a regular basis and someone to talk to in confidence.

We rely solely on fundraising to enable us to provide these events and support for the young people. Our Current operational costs are £43,000 p.a. With Thame Town Council providing a grant of £15,000. This year, we aim to raise £12,000 through the Big Give Christmas Challenge match fund.
To access the fund, we need to secure £3,000 in pledges by 30th August 2024 for them to support our campaign. Every pledge will be matched pound for pound by Big Give Charity, effectively doubling the impact of each donation. In addition, any local fundraising we do at Christmas will also be matched by Big Give. This means that your contribution would have twice the power to make a difference in the lives of our youth. 1. Sustain our regular activities in 2025, crucial for young people’s personal development and well-being.
2. Help to fund Hannah, our expert youth worker, a trusted professional who leads our youth programme including offering guidance and support for those who need it most. 3. Support our Young Leaders: Fund youth co-designed projects and decision making, that puts youth voice at the centre of all we do.
